Cast Of The Simpson’s Strike New Deal With Bigger Paycheck

Everyone Who Has Ever Been

Everyone Who Has Ever Been

The contract negotiations are over and the cast of The Simpson’s are ready to get back to work. Their pockets may be a little heavier than before, but maybe not as heavy as they were hoping for.

The 19th season of the hit Sunday night cartoon was held-up due to the cast refusing to read while they were in contract talks which has shortened the season from 22 episodes down to 20. Before the negotiations the cast was making a hefty $360,000 per episode and they were trying to get that raised to a cool half a million. Both sides have settled and it looks like they will all now be making $400,000 per episode, with Dan Castellaneta netting himself a consulting producer credit in the process.

With the money that the show brings in and it honestly not showing any signs of stopping, I say good for them!

nobody needs to be making that much money for one episode of a show, i don’t care who you are or how good you are. there’s so many honest hard working people who will never see $400,000 dollars in a decade, much less a year. there’s also so many people in need around the world, and how come you never hear about the simpsons cast members outside of news related to the show (they never seem to do anything charitable with the millions they make each year, but how many strikes have they held so they can make more money per episode?). i also find it a travesty that someone like yeardley makes about the same money as someone like dan or harry, but doesn’t voice nearly as many characters. doesnt she only do lisa and the occasional random female??
